Exhibition “Astrology and Arts”

Main ambition of the Astrology and Arts project is the interdisciplinary presentation of current state of astrological reflection of reality and searching for its possible parallels in non-discursive symbolism of contemporary arts and music, mainly of neo-conceptual orientation. The organizers will invite erudite experts in the fields of astrology, music and visual arts in order to provoke the interdisciplinary dialogue on astrological impulses and subjects.

BRNO —> BRATISLAVA —> BUDAPEST —> WROCŁAW

The main output of the project will be the international exhibition “Astrology and Arts” installed successively in Brno, Bratislava, Budapest, and Wrocław; series of the concerts and performances by the V4 musicians and performers as well as by the artists from other countries whose art or music was significantly inspired by astrology on structural base (Sam Ashley, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Hans. W. Koch, Ben Patterson, etc.); and performances and recordings of the piano pieces by Dane Rudhyar played by Slovak pianist Ivan Šiller in Czech/Slovak/Hungarian premiere. The whole project will be documented in four-lingual (Czech/Hungarian/Polish/English) catalogue with CD published in 2014.
